Leadership Transition at the Leader to Leader Institute

SEPTEMBER 27, 2004: NEW YORK-- President and CEO Daniel A. Rabuzzi has resigned, effective October 15, 2004. Daniel thanks the Institute, and the Institute's partners and stakeholders, for the privilege of serving, and looks forward to continuing as a good friend to the Institute. At its September 27 meeting, the Institute's Board of Governors thanked Daniel for his leadership this year, expressed appreciation for his support of the Institute's mission, and wished him the very best in his new endeavors.

At the same meeting, the Board named staff member Keith Timko Acting President. Keith can be reached at 212-224-1185 and keith@leadertoleader.org.

Keith and the Leader to Leader staff, with full support of the Institute Board, will continue the Institute's initiatives, including:

  • The award-winning journal Leader to Leader, and other publications, including twenty books, tools and tapes in multiple languages, with its long-time partner John Wiley & Sons/Jossey-Bass.
  • Ongoing development of the Generals in Transition and Investment in America Speakers Programs, with The Conference Board and the Mandel Foundation and in consultation with the U.S. Army.
  • Planning for the third Investment in America Forum to be held at West Point, May 4-6, 2005.
  • Continuing engagement with facilitators and organizations in the U.S.A. and abroad using the Drucker Foundation Self-Assessment Tool and Meeting the Collaboration Challenge.
  • Discussion with the Hesselbein Fellows, a nationwide network of social sector leaders, about leadership, organizational development, partnerships and collaboration.
